Atlas Tabletop Sculpture Freeform Balance with Base In Black and Natural

Phillips Collection’s Atlas Tabletop Sculpture Freeform Balance with Base In Black and Natural is a modern decorative accent that highlights the beauty of natural materials in a clean, sculptural form. A freeform piece of chamcha wood rests above a black base, supported by slender black metal figures that create a striking sense of balance and contrast.

Each sculpture showcases the organic shape, grain, and natural color variation of the wood, making every piece one of a kind. The dark base and figures frame the warm wood tones, offering a bold black-and-natural palette that fits comfortably into modern and contemporary spaces without feeling busy or overly ornate.

Designed for tabletop display, this Decorative Accessories piece brings a gallery-like look to shelves, consoles, and desks. Its mix of wood and metal adds texture and visual interest, while the open, minimal silhouette keeps the focus on the natural wood form. Inspired by the story of Atlas from Greek mythology, this sculpture nods to strength and endurance through its carefully balanced composition.
